Forest Fun Days...
From the Ashes... runs sessions during most half terms and school holidays, offering children the chance to re-connect with nature and immerse themselves in it, whilst playing alongside other children.
Forest Fun Days take their ethos from that of Forest School sessions and are based on child-led and adult-facilitated activities. Some sessions are themed, with specific activities organised, like 'Survival Days' with rabbit skinning and scallop-shell fire lighting, or 'Robert Burns Storytelling' with story writing and creating characters in clay. Other days are more free flow, where the activities take the form of Hapa Zome - Japanese flower printing, natural paint making, shelter building, craft activities, knots, knives, Nordic Slinging, weaving, cooking over an open fire and free play...
